Venue and Date selection process underway

The Core team has started work for venue/date finalization for Friends of F- MP Picnic for 2017 for the warmer months. Your presence and participation made the previous picnics a grand success! While we are looking at Liberty State Park, there may be challenges as they have changed their rules from this year, discouraging for both Pavilions combined to a common group.

So we are trying to look for other options also. And asking all F- MP attendees/ friends for options. These are the main criteria for selection:

1. Proximity to major freeways, max. 60-90 min comute/ reach for most attendees (75% attendees from all parts of NJ, balance from NYC, Long Island, CT)
2. Ability to reserve for summer weekends in advance/ easily reachable
3. For min. 200 + people
4. Adequate covered sheds – with benches/ seating
5. Playgrounds for sports/kids
6. Attached/Close by parking for around 50+ vehicles
7. Grills/ Ability to prepare food / additional grills/If Caterer allowed
8. Power Points
9. Rest Areas
10. Allowed to hold community gatherings of our type
11. Cost Effective
